We might seem so sure on the outside, but we have so much self-doubt on the inside. Influences from other people can make you question your own opinions. Being told about so many things can get you fidgety over your decisions. Your judgement becomes fragile. A small thing can seem so much bigger in the head. All said so, no one thinks twice about what you did. People have their own lives to live. Everyone hates one part of themselves, who they used to be, who they are right now or who they are growing into. It’s tough to deal with this, especially when interacting with new people.

The impression you want to give when people first meet you. You might think that this will define whether you get along with them. You might think nobody will ever talk to you after this first impression. Judging by how dumb you sound; you may never click with them; this thought is terrifying. Even after good first impressions, you might feel you are hanging by a thread which might break if you did one thing wrong, just one unconventional thing. Eventually, everyone would stop associating with you, making you feel there’s no room for mistakes and everything you do should be perfect. With every mistake, this thread gets thinner and even more fragile. Even though common sense tells us no one cares so much, this other voice tells us that people only care about the bad in you.

This overthinking restricts you from talking your mind to people and sharing with people. You may seem shy on the outside but afraid on the inside. Overthinking and overanalysing can be stressful; sometimes, we overthink what we would say and sometimes, what you already said. With so much thought behind them, your responses will become dull, and your words lose meaning. Indeed, it makes you believe everyone else is much better than you; everyone is much more capable than you. You are struggling so much while other people do it because they’re better. It is your self-doubt which can self-sabotage your worth. Just by overthinking all the things that could go wrong, you end up having all of them go wrong.

To open, to share. You believe no one deserves to hear your thoughts; your emotions are too much for people. A big reason why people don’t share their stories is that they doubt whether their stories are worth telling or not. Self-doubt can make you feel trapped, and you don’t do things just because you are afraid that someone may tell you it was wrong. It’s more about how you see yourself than other people. You don’t need thousands of people to be who you are. You just need one friend who believes in you. As it is said, we learn from failure, not a success; it is you who will balance things out; it is who will embrace your gremlin.
